Top Gun Burgers, a popular Kensington Market burger joint, is closing its doors after a decade of dishing out patties and fries.
"After 10 amazing years of serving this incredible community, it's time for us to say goodbye," the burger spot wrote in a social media post.
Thursday is the last day Top Gun Burgers will be open before closing for good at 251 Augusta Ave.
The restaurant asked that people stop by and share one last meal with the owner and employees.
"We want to thank each and every one of you for your support, loyalty, and the unforgettable memories we’ve created together. It’s been a true honor to be a part of your lives," Top Gun Burgers wrote on Instagram.
When TorontoToday visited the location on Thursday, signage at the burger joint had already changed. Though the Top Gun Burgers logo remained on the window, the eatery's overhead sign read "T Dot Crispy Chicke'n [sic]."
On a social media page for T Dot, the restaurant's opening date is listed as March 28 at 1 p.m.
Top Gun Burgers has another location in the downtown core, at 490 Bloor St. W., as well as locations in Scarborough, Vaughan and Mississauga.
