Mirvish Productions reveals lineup of 7 musicals for upcoming season

Shows about Michael Jackson and Neil Diamond, a comedy from the East Coast are among the season's highlights

The stories of two icons of popular music, as well as an East Coast comedy, promise to be highlights of the Mirvish Productions main subscription season this coming year.

Four of the seven shows are Canadian premieres, two are Toronto premieres, and one is a brand-new sit-down Canadian production of an international hit, Mirvish Productions said.

“Each subscription season is a work in progress for many years, and this coming season is an especially wonderful one," David Mirvish said in a release.

From Canada’s east coast is the new musical comedy Tell Tale Harbour, starring musician Alan Doyle in September and October.

From Broadway comes MJ: The Musical, a work of music, dance and drama that looks at a pivotal moment in pop singer Michael Jackson’s remarkable artistic career — when he was creating the 1992 ‘Dangerous’ concert tour.

Next, Mirvish Productions brings back one of the most popular shows it has ever presented, & Juliet, which had its North American premiere in 2022 for a short run, before taking Broadway by storm.

The show is returning to the Toronto stage in December as part of Mirvish's "Oops, We Did It Again!" season, named in honour of the show.

"People have been asking us about bringing it back ever since it left, and we’re thrilled to welcome it back for a sit-down production,” David Mirvish said.

In 2026, the production company has a quartet of Broadway hits from the last two years — all of them Canadian premieres.

“Some Like It Hot is a sizzling musical adaptation of one of the funniest movies of all time," Hannah Mirvish said.

“Shucked is a riotous and original new musical about one of the most unusual topics — corn. But don’t be fooled. It’s really a traditional romance with a happy ending, like all great musical comedies."

Shucked will hit stage in March and April 2026.

A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical is the true story of a popular music icons and will grace the stage in April and May 2026.

The Outsiders is the winner of the 2024 Tony Award for Best Musical. A new musical, it tells a story of friendship, family belonging and the realization that there is still good in the world, Mirvish Productions says.

The Outsiders is set to run in June and July 2026.

Subscribers have first choice of seats at the best prices and can see all seven shows from $309. Mirvish Productions presents shows at four theatres in downtown Toronto.
